Here the ritual begins again. Welcome pleasure and pain, conscious and Id, control and submission. A new feminine-fantastic world, on the verge of reality and hallucination. The body in the paradox between the scream and ode, the woman and the beast; The witch arrives; The demon survives.

And if the work is ever an antithesis to itself...We continue practicing the slamming action of the physical and vocal body of ours, a body in the shape of a woman. Our space is the nonlinear time, reality, reverie: futuristic mythological chronologies reassemble the DNA chain that has been encoded in us before. The music constructs in us the phenomenon of the performative psyche, the tensions between iconic psychedelic-rock and romantic classical sounds, the femininity and the animalism, and our androginous circus of powers. The act of hallucination and the animatory drive disintegrate and deconstruct from the everlasting familiarity of the choreography and the existence between pain and pleasure, the conscious and the id, domination and submission. Seen and heard rhythms, the language and technique are the foundation for bodies in a paradox, on a journey with knowledge and experience burned into their flesh, in the face of a new femme fantasy world.

F I C T I O N S emanates from the ongoing physical-vocal practice, language, and technique developed in Annabelle Dvir’s full-length stage work 7INCH OF SLAM – THE FULL BODY SOUNDSCAPE, which upholds the tensions between perception and sensation, the embodiment of live sound and the visual shape of a soundscape:  7INCH//VIMEO.COM
